This patient had radial keratotomy (RK) many years ago, but reported significant discomfort. The green, fluorescein stain seeps into the RK incisions that are slightly open. RK incisions that have not completely healed can cause inflammation and irritation. Eye drop and ointment medications can help.
While some patients have done well after RK, others have suffered from complications.
