Stars at night

asteroid hyalosis A benign condition that creates suspended particles within the eye’s vitreous.   This can be seen during a dilated eye examination. These yellowish particles made of fats (lipids) rarely interfere with vision or cause symptoms. The particles move within the eye’s gel-like vitreous and resemble stars at night. The condition is not well understood, but appears associated with aging.
